Viewing Album:  With EP-5's retired nearby, EL 20-cylinder power works at Harrisburg.

Album Info:One year after Conrail's startup, Harrisburg was busy with EL 20-cylinder power. EL's Bicentennial SD45 3632 remained without a CR stencil, and was lined up with CR black and blue power at Harrisburg, while former EL SDP45 3639 received the CR stencil with road number 6669 and was receiving service at the Enola locomotive shops. The nearby Harrisburg deadline contained former PC EP-5's, an E-8A, and a former PRSL Baldwin S-12. Stored at Harrisburg was one of the EMD experimental electrics.

Title:  PRSL S-12 6017
Description:  Pennsylvania Reading Seashore Lines Baldwin S-12 number 6017, rests in storage by E40 electric 4977 and behind EMDX 1976 at Harrisburg in May, 1977. This S-12 was the first of eleven in PRSLs 6017–6021, 6028–6033 number series. The PRSL herald and number plate are still visible. Too bad the smoke rising was not from the Baldwins stack! S-12 6017 was assigned 8343 in Conrails April 1976 roster, but would not last to be renumbered.
